This morning I connected to the internet and automatically I’m brought to the Google homepage. Everything is black! How neat. Even cooler: Google is making a stand to supprt Earth Hour.
Then I head over to Pastor Carlos’ blog which I read daily. It seems everyone is in on the Earth Hour lights out project but me.
Apparently this all started in Sydney, Australia and has progressed throughout the world. It’s so easy! All you have to do is turn the lights and all appliances off on Saturday, 8pm local time and keep them off for one hour. Go to the Earth Hour website and sign up.
Everyday we should be making a conscious effort to help take care of the world we live in. Today, specifically, we can take a stand and do something that will help to conserve energy. Do it. It’s not that complicated and can make such an impactful difference.
Nice to read somebody is on the same page as me, some out there are slamming this, but come on, what can it hurt.
